Space-saving storage of small parts and direct ERP integration
with the Hänel Lean-Lift®
Two Hänel Lean-Lift® systems measuring over 8.5 meters in height replaced a storage rack system for small parts to create valuable space for production
BERTSCHfoodtec based in Braz, Vorarlberg, develops and manufactures equipment for the food industry. A separate warehouse building with rack storage was previously used for storing small parts. Today, two Hänel Lean-Lift® systems handle the entire stock of small parts within a fraction of the previous space.
Compact storage with short walking distances
The Hänel multifunction containers ensure height-optimized storage of thousands of parts, components, production supplies, and spare parts. The access points at the two storage systems shorten walking distances and allow materials to be supplied faster.
Central order control with direct ERP integration
The ERP system PSIpenta manages all items and orders centrally and transfers the stock orders directly to the Hänel controllers. The employees start the order on the display, with the two storage systems then providing all items for an order at the access points based on optimized routing. Even large picking orders can therefore be assembled quickly and reliably for production or supply of spare parts. Every stock movement is recorded in the transaction journal and reported back to the ERP system.
The Hänel intralogistics solution offers BERTSCHfoodtec the benefit of optimal ERP integration, short access times, and fast supply of materials, while allowing the company to regain valuable production space at the same time.
“The Hänel Lean-Lift® systems offer enormous space savings. We have regained valuable space for production and significantly boosted the efficiency of our storage processes thanks to direct ERP integration.“
